Hünkar
A reinterpretation of carnation and chintamani patterns taken from original fabrics used in the Ottoman palace, Hünkar features a contemporary look with its dry touch and tapestry like weave.
Uşak
Uşak, inspired by a 16th century Ushak carpet, offers a simple elegance with its modern texture and one-tone colorway.
Ulubey
Inspired by a 19th century Ushak carpet, Ulubey combines bright blue and red colors of 19th century aesthetics with a modern touch of linen weave and one tone cool colors. With an 85% linen composition, Ulubey offers a natural and effortless elegance.
Zeugma / Zeugma Kombin
Zeugma and Zeugma Kombin take their name from the magnificent Roman mosaics on display at the Zeugma Museum in Gaziantep. Block geometric patterns woven in high density satin, create a glamorous look and a luxurious touch.
Servi
Taking inspiration from a 19th century embroidered Ottoman sash, featuring cypress motifs, Servi has a highly sophisticated character. Deep tones are used to emphasize the strong pattern and the subtle use of metallic gold yarns add to the luxurious look.
Armudiye
Armudiye, beautiful and elegant, is inspired by one of the ancient motifs used in jewelry design, a pear-shaped medallion seen specifically on pendants during the Ottoman era.
Perestü
Perestü is designed by bringing together specific motifs selected from several ancient embroidered napkins, wrappers, towels and other special cloths mainly used in the Aegean region of Turkey. The satin surface woven with sparkling metallic yarns has a light touch. Colored with a contemporary twist, Perestü features one tone colors unlike the original embroideries that were traditionally multicolor.
Sümbül
Inspired by a 17th century Ottoman silk shalwar, Sümbül features an elegant botanical pattern, embellished with crescent and star motifs. With densely used metallic yarns, Sümbül has a super light and flowing touch.
Fayiha
Fayiha is interpreted from traditional floral embroideries and features an asymmetrical carnation pattern. With its beautifully fluid touch, thanks to its high-density weaving technique, Fayiha offers bright and bold colors as well as subtle and natural tones.
Osmaneli
Osmaneli is one of the most significant jacquard fabrics within the collection, featuring an adaptation of an ancient miniature, Sigetvar’s Triple Castle by Ahmed Feridun Paşa dedicated to Sokullu Mehmed Paşa.
Osmaneli evokes admiration with its fantastic details almost like a painting. Apart from the green colorway that refers to the original artwork, Osmaneli offers another beautiful soft nude tone.
Hünername
Hünername is designed by bringing together many different miniatures mainly such as the ones from Seyid Lokman’s Hünername, and many others dating back to the Ottoman era. Unlike the original multicolored artworks, the reduced colors of Hünername offer a much contemporary look. The magnificent details in its weave make Hünername another favorite of the collection.
Aşiyan
Aşiyan is a collage of ancient miniatures, bringing together many fragments of different artworks, such as the one from famous Surname-i Hümayun by Nakkaş Osman. By removing the human figures, Aşiyan focuses on the architectural elements and brings forward the elegant palace architecture of Istanbul.
Matrakçı
Matrakçı, takes its name from the miniature artist Matrakçı Nasuh whose famous work Beyan-ı Menazil-i Sefer-i Irakeyn depicts the cities and towns that Kanuni Sultan Süleyman passed through during the expedition to Iraq. The city scenes from this ancient source are brought together in a collage. Bold colors such as red and turquoise were used contrary to the multicolored original miniatures.
Bohça / Bohça Kombin
Bohça is interpreted from a 16th century Ottoman embroidered wrapper. This elegant design is an eye catcher thanks to its bright colors and natural touch. Imitating the original silk cloth beautifully, Bohça remains true to the traditionally used red and blue tones. Bohça is combined with another archive design, Bohça Kombin featuring small floral patterns.
Sevai / Sevai Kombin
Inspired by the traditional sevai fabrics dating back to 18th century, Sevai is interpreted from an archive design of this period. Sevai features a design of flowers arranged in stripes and is accompanied by another elegant archive pattern of little flowers in Sevai Kombin.
Tabışgan
One of the most compelling fabrics in Miras Collection, Tabışgan derives inspiration from the wall tiles of the Kubad Abad Palace built during Anatolian Seljuk Empire. One of many animal figures depicted on these famous tiles, a moving hare figure is chosen to be reinterpreted. Tabışgan therefore takes its name from the old Turkish name for hare. The original figure with white dots was used in contrasting brown tone, together with modern tones to accompany as the base color, to achieve a more dynamic and contemporary look.
Sumru
Inspired by the figures used on the tiles in Kubad Abad Palace dating back to the era of Seljuks, Sumru depicts two symmetrical birds looking at each other standing on either side of a stylized tree of life. The boucle yarns add to the three-dimensional look and the soft tones bring forward a contemporary twist.
Efe / Zeybek / Zeybek Pano
Traditional motifs used on zeibek jackets in western Anatolia, are brought together with a contemporary twist. The weave of the fabrics mimics a traditional cord embroidery technique used on the original jackets. This technique dating back to 1800s, is reinterpreted magnificently in these three exceptional fabrics with modern weaving techniques.
With its 3-meter-long design, an unusual panel fabric Zeybek Pano shows this antique cording technique beautifully. The original baize look is created by the subtle use of linen yarns.
Ödemiş
A selection of antique hand embroidered textiles such as napkins, towels, wrappers, cloths to cover stoves or copper trays used in the Aegean region, are brought together as a patchwork design in Ödemiş. Taking its name from an Aegean town which is famous for its antique textiles, Ödemiş is mesmerizing in its beautiful gold tones and its perfect worn-out antique look.
Pars
One of the most striking fabrics in Miras collection, Pars brings together leopard and crocodile figures of Ottoman era miniatures. Bringing ancient drawings of creatures up to date with a contemporary twist, Pars is a favorite with its modern neutral tones and its luxurious soft touch.
Atabey
With its modernised kilim design, Atabey is a contemporary interpretation of handwoven kilims of Anatolia.
Hevsel
Selected works of ancient paper filigree art (kat’ı) is reinterpreted in Hevsel with the intricate weave and beautiful tones that refer to the original artworks. A magnificent garden placed in a vase…
Saruhan
Taking its name from a Turkish ruler, Saruhan is inspired by the motifs of Kumkapı rugs dating back to Ottoman era. With its bright colors and super soft touch, Saruhan is one of the most significant fabrics of the Miras collection.
